About US!

This year, I, Audrey O'Donnell am focusing on reducing the stigma surrounding topics of reproductive health through a book I am writing titled 'We Won't Be Silenced' following the #WWBS global campaign. We as people are currently making some progress in the reproductive health movement, yet there is still plenty of work left to be done. #WWBSCAMPAIGN will direct all the proceeds made through donations towards menstrual cups which will be shipped to at least one partnering homeless and/or domestic violence shelter in each state across the United States.

Why Organic?

Last year, a youth empowerment program I and a community organizer founded conducted a statewide menstrual drive. When we realized how much plastic waste there was, we knew that there had to be an alternative. Organic menstrual products can be an eco-friendly option. All of the donations will go towards menstrual products for homeless or domestic violence shelters in every state.

What topics will be addressed in 'We Won't Be Silenced'?

• Sexual health education
• Menstruation
• Pleasure
• Abortion
• Black maternal healthcare
• Reproductive advocacy
• Teen pregnancy
• LGBTQ+ experiences
• Birth control
• Body image
• HIV & STIs
• Domestic violence & sexual assault
• Toxic masculinity

MEET OUR CAMPAIGN LEADER, AUDREY!

Hello! my name is Audrey O'Donnell. I'm a 17-year-old intern at Planned Parenthood along with being the campaign leader of the #WEWONTBESILENCED campaign. I first became involved with reproductive health by conducting HIV/AIDS research and education at the age of 15-years-old. From the beginning, I knew that stigma was a heavy issue that I wanted to help reduce. For example, I was a panelist for the Conference for Youth Sexual Health Education (CYSHE) panel in Rhode Island where I spoke on behalf of the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ+ healthcare. That following year, I began interning at Planned Parenthood, became a peer sex educator, and even co-chaired the next CYSHE panel where I was awarded the HIV/AIDS Community Youth Hero Award! This year, I've decided to launch the #WEWONTBESILENCED campaign to work towards destigmatizing topics of reproductive health through storytelling. Together, we can make progress. Let's have these conversations, let's break the stigma.
